At the beginning of summer, leopard and zebra print hit the shelves and filled the stockrooms of numerous clothing stores. From shirts to handbags, animal print became the number one priority for every woman's wardrobe. Unlike most fads, animal print has outlasted the seasonal novelty and has remained in high demand. But as winter knocks at our backdoor, new fashion trends emerge and animal print should lose some of its prominence. Fashion is constantly changing. Creating the perception that if you don't adapt you will get left behind should be avoided. Creativity and originality get lost within today's craze and simplicity has been thrown out the door. Animal prints took the industry by storm and consumers felt obligated to buy. This fad has finally reached its climax and must die down. As the winter season approaches, leopard sweaters are not going to be acceptable. The misunderstandings about trends have left customers looking foolish in an attempt to be chic. Fads should not to consume your whole wardrobe but be used as enhancements. Look to red accents to spice up an outfit this season. From headbands to flats, use your creativity to define your attitude. Make a statement. Fashion is not brain surgery, so make it simple. The options are endless this winter. The 80's influence is in full effect. Never really having left the fashion scene, ankle boots to skinny jeans have women looking fabulous. Pair up skinny jeans with a loose, voluminous top or vice versa. Uniqueness is the concept to enhance not the article of clothing. It is how you put your outfit together that gives you a fashion sense. Shirt layering; various lengths, patterns, textures and shades, create warmth and style for the harsh winter weather. Simplistic colors of grey and white invite darks to project a conservative look. Limitation crushes creativity. Beware of fads that come in quickly because they will go out even faster. Trends are meant to accessorize and embellish outfits. Restore classic articles of clothing and venture to new concepts. Do not get absorbed in the vast fashion world and let your clothing help define your individuality. You be you. Wear you.
