It’s that time of year again! Now that the Super Bowl is over, Hollywood begins preparations in earnest for THEIR Super Bowl – the Oscars!
They say it’s an honor just to be nominated, and in the case of the Academy Awards, that’s no glib chiché. There are many perks that come with simply being a nominee, one of which is the swanky Oscars Luncheon, where all the nominees get to rub shoulders, have a spectacular meal, and get their picture taken à la a really, really fancy yearbook.
The Class of ’13 congregated yesterday at the Beverly Hilton to be all be one in their collective cinematic awesomeness. DJ’d by producer Frank Marshall (!!), over a hundred honored guests mingled among each other, seated sporadically instead of grouped together by film or category. Young Quvenzhané Wallis was in attendance, and in fact she was front-and-center in the group photo. Even Joaquin Phoenix, who recently stated his distaste for the Oscars, couldn’t resist, showing up with his sister, Rain, at his side.
Check out some pics from the event below, and click here to see the full, high-res version of the group shot; how many faces can you recognize?
