Alas, New York Fashion Week is over! How will we cope? By looking at the trends to expect for this Spring, of course!
This year, Fashion Week ran from September 8 to 15, and each day was filled with style, glamour, and celebrities!
Celebrities always flock to Fashion Week. It is a great way to learn about the latest trends and be photographed looking your best! Where were the celebrities this year? Everywhere!
Kim Kardashian, sister Kourtney Kardashian, and Scott Disick checked out the David Koch fashion show; Kim and Kourtney were also spotted cheering on their sister Kendal Jenner as she walked the runway at the Sherry Hill show (pictured above); Julianne Moore and Katie Holmes caught the Calvin Klein show from the front row; "Fashion Police" co-host Kelly Osbourne was all over Fashion Week, taking in shows by Zac Posen, Betsey Johnson, Marchesa, and Chris Benz; Nikki Blonsky and Gabourey Sidibe checked out the Onestopplus.com show; Elisabeth Moss was photographed at the Alice & Olivia show; Anna Wintour and Nicki Minaj attended the Carolina Herrera show; Gabrielle Union hit up the Badgley Mischka fashion show; and Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Hendricks, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lopez, and Lenny Kravitz were at Tommy Hilfiger. Even Lindsay Lohan was spotted at the Cynthia Rowley show -- going out of her way not to be spotted, waiting to enter until the seats were filled and the lights went down.
Celebrities weren't just attending runway shows, but putting them on as well. Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. collection showcased designs with bold patterns, statement necklines, and draping. Victoria Beckham's latest collection featured looks with tangerine color blocking, and athletic wear inspiration -- hoodies, oversized parkas, and vests.
Some of the trends to look for this Spring? It is all about orange! This color was everywhere on the runways. From Victoria Beckham, to Christian Siriano and Charlotte Ronson, orange was a staple. Bold colors, prints, and patterns were also especially popular, along with minimal whites, drapery, straight silhouettes, sports wear, and color blocking. As for runway makeup trends? Bright, bold lips. Corals, neons, and even blues headed down the runway, so this Spring don't be afraid to be bold! Men's wear was also given a punch of color, with classic designs meeting colorful and unusual fabrics.
New York Fashion Week showcased amazing creations by some of the most talented fashion designers in the world. There are so many great trends to look forward to this Spring. Now just to make it through Fall and Winter!
