It appears that young celebrities are not too caught up in climbing the ladder to success to lend their support to a variety of good causes and charities across the globe. Recently, daughters of British music legends Bob Geldof and Mick Jagger, Pixie Geldof and Georgia May Jagger, posed for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer poster campaign. Georgia is following in her famous mother’s (Jerry Hall) footsteps, by fronting the same campaign as her mother did back in 2006.
Justin Bieber is also lending his voice to the Make a Wish Foundation, appearing in PSAs alongside Miley Cyrus to raise awareness about the Make a Wish mission. Selena Gomez continues the trend, being made an Ambassador for UNICEF and lending her star power to the plight of West and Central Africa. "The Only Way is Essex" TV star Lauren Goodger recently made her feelings known by posing in revealing snakeskin body paint for a PETA campaign. Lauren follows in the footsteps of a string of celebrities who've posed for PETA, including, most recently, Kelly Brook and Elisabetta Canalis. And it's not just stars of the screen who are doing that bit around the world – music sensations Ke$ha and JLS have both fronted music videos for their respective charity organizations.
Having a celebrity endorse a charity is a great way to bring awareness to the cause, and many people follow in their favorite celebrity’s footsteps when it comes to donating money and helping out, encouraging a brand new generation of future charity supporters.
