Even though it has been well over a decade since Pixar dazzled us with such beloved characters as James P. “Sulley” Sullivan and Mike Wazowski, we all have been waiting for the moment when they would once again emerge from the bedroom closet. After patiently waiting, it appears that our dream is finally being granted. 

 

Recently, Disney and its partner company, Pixar, released the wonderfully amusing trailer for their highly anticipated film, Monsters University. 

 

If you'll recall in Monsters, Inc., Sulley and Mike get themselves into quite a pickle when they acquire a stowaway by the name of Boo. However, the new film starring the blue and green duo does not focus on the their adventures in the business world; rather, it focuses on their lives before the screams at Monsters, Inc.

 

As you may have already deduced from the title, this movie explores Sulley and Mike’s relationship during their college years. In the trailer, Sulley pulls several practical jokes on Mike, including one where he hangs him from the ceiling dressed like a disco ball. 

 

 

 

It will be interesting to see how Disney and Pixar navigate the progression of their relationship over the course of the film. We have waited very long for another Monsters movie, and Pixar is not one to disappoint. So, if you hear any bumps in the night, just know that the monsters are indeed coming for you... but they won’t arrive until the summer of 2013!
