Let's face it " in this day and age, when everyone is constantly on the go, finding one place for all things fashion related would truly be heaven sent, right? Well, heaven has arrived right on Third Street in West Hollywood in the form of a boutique called Milk. Milk opened its door in October of 2005 and is the brainchild of owners, Bari Milken, a former dancer and her cousin, Marni Flans, who formerly worked in the publicity department at Fox. Both ladies are in their mid-twenties and, being avid shoppers, they wanted to create a destination for themselves and their friends where they could find all the fashion necessities in one place. Milk was soon born out of their desire for a one-stop-shop and was inspired by literature, jazz and a jet-set lifestyle. The boutique is a virtual haven, filled with clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories like belts, scarves and handbags by fashion favorites based in Los Angeles, New York (Jill Stuart, Diane von Furstenberg), Europe (Luella, Missoni) and hard to find labels (Sue Stemp, Sretsis) around the world. Milk also offers kid tees from such brands as Woo and Trunk and a Men's section that features favorites like Wrangler, Aviator and Helmut Lang. In addition, Milk offers lingerie and swimwear from brands like Haverhill and Lacoste. For those of you who aren't so fashion minded, Milk is also stocked with some other great items for you and your friends. It offers a selection of books, beauty products, travel sets and candles, among other things. Over the past couple of years, Milk has gained word of mouth and has been featured in such magazines as Lucky, Metro Pop, Daily Candy and Mean. This boutique is also a favorite of today's top celebrities such as Hayden Panettiere (pictured here wearing clothing from Milk), Amanda Bynes, Donald Faison, Hilary Duff, Kristen Bell, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, who have all been pictured wearing the various items Milk features. It is time to get in the know and experience the store that the young stars in Hollywood have been enjoying since 2005. Check out the store in West Hollywood now, and if you aren't a local, you can still buy Milk's items online at www.shopatmilk.com.
