You may know him best for his role of Lex Luthor on CW's hit series, Smallville. He was recently voted Sexiest Villain by TV Guide and People magazine voted him one of the sexiest men alive in 2006.Born in New York and raised in Newburgh, Indiana, Michael now spends time between his home in Los Angeles and Vancouver, where he shoots Smallville. He began acting in high school and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in theater and communications from Western Kentucky University. After moving to New York to pursue his acting career, he landed several off-Broadway roles and independent films. He then became a regular on The Conan O'Brien Show in a sketch called The Amsterdam Kids. He's gone on to play roles in "Sweet November" with Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," directed by Clint Eastwood, "Poolhall Junkies" with Christopher Walken and the gender bending comedy, "Sorority Boys" with Barry Watson and Harland Williams just to name a few.Not only is Michael talented in front of the camera, but he has also loaned his voiceover talent to the animated television series, "Justice League" and "Batman Beyond." He is a skillful writer, and in the early part of 2007 he directed his first episode of "Smallville," titled Freak. In his most recent film, released in the Spring of 2007, he starred along with Jamie Kennedy, Maria Menounos, and Bobby Lee in Kickin' It Old Skool. In this 80's flashback, breakdancing comedy, he played Kip Unger, a rather narcissistic host of a dance show on television. It was the perfect role for Michael, who grew up in the 80's and is an 80's music buff. Nobody knows cheesy 80's music like I do and I'm pretty sure nobody cares, says Michael. We can't wait to see more of the talented Michael Rosenbaum and are anxious to see what his future holds. For a guy from a small town in Indiana, his talent and versatility in the roles he plays proves that we are going to be seeing much more of him. He won't always be bald though .As far as what he says his future holds, Michael tells Young Hollywood, I see myself doing more comedies and hopefully even directing a few. I also miss my hair and can't wait to grow a full mullet.
