The directors of Horrible Bosses plus the producers of Ted PLUS Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy equals pure comedic gold, at least as far as we can tell from the official trailer for Identity Thief which was just released.

 

Bateman plays Sandy Bigelow Patterson, an average Joe from Colorado who finds out his identity has been stolen after his card is denied at a gas station. Enter Melissa McCarthy! Everyone's favorite bridesmaid saunters into the trailer with some real gangster swag, buying up Florida like the money ain’t hers! – Oh right, it’s not! McCarthy’s character seems settled into her life as Sandy Bigelow Patterson the con-artist... right up until the minute she comes face to face with the real Sandy who comes to Florida to confront the fake Sandy… are you following?

 

Between the classic Jason Bateman character, and the loveable yet cringe-worthy antics Melissa McCarthy brings to her role, Identity Thief looks to be a fun little flick with some surprises we might not expect.
