Maroon 5 Shines "Daylight" In Fan-Made Video

Maroon 5 released their new music video to their song “Daylight” from their newest album, Overexposed -- So what’s so interesting about this one? Well, hard to believe, but there’s no mini-movie in which Mr. Adam Levine stars. There isn’t even a single clip of the band playing the song! Instead, Maroon 5 went in a completely different direction.

The video is called “The Daylight Project”, and it is purely a fan-filmed music video. Fans were asked to submit videos of themselves talking about their loves in life, their hopes, and later their inhibitions and the things that made them sad, like bullying and losing a loved one. Fans from all over the world sent videos of themselves in different scenarios and shared something important to them. Here’s the video so you can check it out!

The video is not only a great change of pace for the band and their typical music videos but a nice change of pace for the fans and our world today. It seems that this music video couldn’t have come at a better time. In light of recent, tragic events this year, the video reminds us of the greatness life has to offer in the midst of bad times.

And when the daylight comes, I'll have to go
But tonight I'm gonna hold you so close
'Cause in the daylight, we'll be on our own
But tonight I need to hold you so close

I’d like to leave you with what I got from the video. Take the good with the bad. And find your “daylight” where you can; step up and be who YOU want to be.
