Another exciting night at the Roxy! Little Jackie and crew roll right up to the front door for all to see and the party begins.

The group consists of Imani Coppola (who had a big hit with Legend of a Cowgirl) and DJ/musician/producer Adam Pallin. Imani commands the stage and Adam works in as an integral part of the show instrumentally.

Speaking of, a highlight of the evening was seeing Imani pull out her violin (she also plays guitar).

Of course I was super excited to see them do their thing, I'm in love with their song The World Should Revolve Around Me (from their album, The Stoop for obvious reasons. Natch, it was one of the last songs they played so it was definitely a long night out!

My partner in crime, the ever joyful MK (who runs popbytes) was on hand to snap a few shots (thanks!) and the show went off. Los Angeles is full of little venue showrooms but the Roxy is a Hollywood classic and one of my personal faves. Always a good show, clearly this is no exception!

Combining hip-hop with pop sensibilities and Motown rhythms, Little Jackie forges ahead creatively - doing her own unique thing. And that's a good thing.

She says it all with the lyrics:
There's only one me in the galaxy I am an endangered species this kind of flower don't grow on earth just letting ya know for what it's worth

Word.
