Mixing pop, dance and hip-hop while singing over slick beats set to a funky electro groove, Lada Gaga is What's Hot in music right now! I'm channeling Nina Garcia on Project Runway here, but when I see a new artist and one example of their work, maybe two, I'm left to wonder - do I want to see more? Lada Gaga is more than a one trick pony with Just Dance, her phenomenal hit that rocked this summer. Her whole persona is seriously avant garde. She is not a normal pop diva. This isn't a mainstream studio creation; Gaga got her own thing going on. So hot Christina Aguilera emulated her look (hello, VMAs)! Such an obvious nod is a huge acknowledgement, if not a testament to the Lady's influence on the music scene already. As with any new sensation, it didn't happen overnight. She wrote songs for the Pussycat Dolls, worked with Akon and Red One, all the while developing her own unique brand and eventually crafting her own debut CD, The Fame. Now she's arrived. You might even say, rather, landed here on Earth from another fantastic galaxy somewhere far, far away. As her Gaga-vision vlogs on YouTube can atteast, she's out of this world.
