Justin Long

Although he would come to be known as that guy from the Mac commercials, those clever advertisements have saturated the culture to such a degree that Justin Long is a now very famous human being. But beneath the marketing campaign is an adroit and talented actor.

He was born in Fairfield, Connecticut, the son of Wendy Lesniak, a stage actress, and R. James Long, a philosophy teacher at Fairfield University.

Justin attended Vassar College, where he was a member of the sketch comedy group 'Laughing Stock' and starred in several plays including Butterflies are Free before leaving to pursue his acting career in films and television.

He is known for that wide, affable grin, the heavy eyebrows that lend him an uncanny resemblance to Tim Allen, but most of all, for that sarcastic wit that he trademarked in the Apple commercials. He seems to embody the savvy of the rising generation, at least according to Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Justin Long was soon cast as Britney's prom date in the movie Crossroads, a movie in which he shared a kiss with the singer that earned him breathless adulation on Britney websites everywhere.

Three years before that seminal moment, Long made his screen debut as a sci-fi geek in Galaxy Quest, a quirky genre parody that starred Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, and Long's would-be doppelganger, Allen.

He then landed a role on the TV sitcom Ed (2000), which he followed in 2001 with a part as a lonely bunkmate in Happy Campers. That same year, he starred in Jeepers Creepers, a sleeper comedy-horror outing that cast him as one of two siblings terrorized by an inhuman monster. In 2003, he popped up briefly in the sequel Jeepers Creepers 2 while continuing to appear on Ed.

But then came the sports comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. In this film, Long proved to critics and audiences alike that his comedic skills could translate from the small-screen to the big one with ease, a feat he repeated when he appeared opposite Lindsay Lohan in Herbie: Fully Loaded. Currently, Justin has completed and is filming new projects. He will be seen in the latest installment of Die Hard entitled , Live Free or Die Hard.
