J.K. Rowling Writing Another Book! ...Under Her 'Cuckoo's Calling' Pen Name

Written by Amanda Baltazar. Published: February 21 2014

It’s been seven years since J. K. Rowling released her last installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Have you been having trouble looking for another good read? Have you been trying to fill the void that Harry Potter once filled?

Well, just because Harry Potter is over doesn’t mean that Ms. Rowling is done writing. Oh, certainly, by no means is she done writing. In 2012, she released a book called The Casual Vacancy, which became very popular in London and is even set to be adapted as a television drama on the BBC network.

Last year, a novel called The Cuckoo’s Calling was released under the pen name Robert Galbraith. It was later revealed that Galbraith was actually Rowling all along.

This past week, it was announced that Rowling would be releasing another novel under the Galbraith pen name, called The Silkworm. This new fiction crime drama  tells the story of Cormoran Strike from The Cuckoo’s Calling. He investigates the murder of a writer and the possible suspects to the crime. The book is set to go up on the shelves in June of this year. Rowling also says that this is merely the first installment of a series.

It’s only February, so we all definitely have time to read The Cuckoo’s Calling, if you haven’t already, to catch up on Cormoran Strike’s story.

Thank you, Ms. Rowling, for putting your pen to paper and sharing your brilliant mind with us. Ten points for Robert Galbraith!
