J.K. Rowling Officially Working on Harry Potter Encyclopedia

Recently, world-reknowned Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling announced that she is leaving the wizard world and is entering into new territory with her first adult novel! This new work of hers is titled Casual Vacancy and will be released as soon as September 27.

But J.K. has not left Hogwarts behind just yet. This week, Pottermore was finally launched, which is an interactive experience on the web, taking fans deeper into the exciting world of “Harry Potter”!

Rowling has also revealed via her Website that she is in the works to create a Harry Potter encyclopedia and plans to donate all of the profit to charity.

“For a long time, I have been promising an encyclopedia of Harry’s world, and I have started work on this now,” writes Rowling on her Website, which is followed very closely by millions of her fans. “Some of it forms the new content in Pottermore.”

Pottermore and this encyclopedia are brilliant ideas to keep Harry in fans’ lives, although she has never entirely ruled out the possibility of writing another Harry Potter book in the future.

The encyclopedia will provide meaning to many of the words, places, and ideas featured in the Harry Potter world that fans have grown to love.

So, keep an eye out for the encyclopedia and her new adult book in September!
