Need to go shopping? Looking for some trendy pieces to spice up your wardrobe? I have a place in mind. Well, it’s more like a closet. A famous celeb’s closet. She’s only a singer-songwriter, DJ, dancer, producer, actress, model, and supermom extraordinaire. She’s also the baby sister of R&B singing sensation, Beyoncé. That’s right, I’m referring to fashionista Solange Knowles. This girl’s got mad style, and she’s not afraid to show it! Her closet is a goldmine. I wish I had an all-access pass to view all the precious vintage and lux finds inside! I’d take y’all with me if I did, Girl Scout promise with a side of Thin Mints. Sheesh! I’d sure like to rent her wardrobe for a day! All the patterns, colors, styles, and textures are so unique, so Solange!

 

Solange was born to entertain. She had the itch to write, dance, sing, and act from a very young age. This young starlet started writing songs when she was 9 years old. By the age of 13, she was touring with Destiny’s Child as a back-up dancer. At the age of 16, Solange cut her first record, Solo Star. And when Solange turned 17, she made her big screen acting debut in The Johnson Family Vacation. I was barely learning how to ride a bike and rollerblade at that age! Solange has also been featured in several TV series, including “The Proud Family” and “Yo Gabba Gabba”. She has dabbled in some modeling, too. Solange models for House of Deréon and Deréon (her mother's clothing line/her own clothing line with sister Beyoncé) and she’s one of Rimmel London’s famous faces.

 

In recent years, Solange has been catching the media’s attention with her trendsetting and fashionable looks. She calls her style “very eclectic with a glamorous touch and some classic details.” Solange clearly has yellow-fever! She rocks yellow pieces frequently and manages to pull them off, which is no easy feat. Clearly, Solange has many shoes to fill and roles to play, but her most rewarding role is that of Mother. Her son, Daniel Julez Smith, Jr., is her pride and joy, and understandably so! It’s hard to believe that Solange is turning a very young 26! Let’s wish this hip young mom a (belated) happy birthday!
