Hollywood moms Ashlee Simpson Wentz, Heidi Klum, Tori Spelling, Jessica Alba and her gal pal Nicole Richie turn to the very best when it comes to keeping their celebspawn safe. Dr. Alan Greene, author of the new book, Raising Baby Green, offers his tips for doing just that:
As do Ashlee, Tori and the rest of the Hollywood moms, "I'd recommend BornFree's line," Dr. Greene says. "These are BPA, Phthalates and PVC free products."
There's been concern over the possibility of chemicals leeching out of plastic containers and into the food stored within them.
"Plastics are everywhere." explains Dr. Alan Greene. "Some are eco-friendly and appear to be very safe for kids. Some plastics cause dangerous pollution during manufacturing," he adds that "some contain chemicals suspected of causing harm - especially to kids."
Doc Greene's tips for dealing with plastics:
"¢ When selecting plastic bottles, food containers and toys: Look for "BPA Free" on the label "¢ Replace plastic water bottles with a refillable stainless steel "¢ Replace plastic toy blocks and other toys with wooden ones "¢ Buy trusted brands that you know are committed to eco-friendly manufacturing practices
