"Housewife" Loses 20 Lbs. Eating Pasta & Cheesecake

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" redhead, Caroline Manzo, shrank down eating her favorite foods. It can be done!

“I eat what I want. I just eat the bad things earlier on in the day,” she told People. “If I want pasta, I have it for lunch instead of for dinner. That’s all. If I want a piece of cheesecake, I have half instead of a whole.”

Natch, she didn’t shed all those pounds without paying with some sweat. She supposedly does 45 minutes to an hour at least three times a week. “I try to do it every day -- and as the day progresses, I eat lighter and lighter,” she added of her new meal and fitness plan. “And I stopped drinking soda and juice … [I drink] just one coffee a day and buckets and buckets and buckets of water.”

By taking a more sensible route instead of a crash diet, she’s been slowly working off the weight since March. “I think that’s healthy,” she said. “That’s the way to do it, so it’s not like yo-yo dieting.”

Girlfriend still has her fun too, in moderation. “I love mojitos,” she admits. “I’m not going to lie.” Hey, a little libation never hurt anybody (in moderation).

Best of all, the final reward radiates outward. This red-haired reality momma says she feels great after losing the weight. “I love it,” she said. “I always felt uncomfortable in my clothes. But now I’m good.”

Here’s something we can all get behind. There’s no reason to kill yourself trying to look good. Let’s applaud Caroline for doing it right!
