Hi everyone!

I’m really excited to add “Contributing YH Editor” to my expanding resume.  :)  This means you’ll have to keep coming back to visit my blog with each entry as I promise to have some interesting and fun things to share.

With that in mind and for those that know me from my acting resume, I am a bit of a multi-tasker as I’m also in a band with my brother Kellin called Boomkat.  Our sophomore album, A Million Trillion Stars is out now!  A track from the album “Burn” was on MTV’s The City last Thursday night, which I am extremely excited about.  Also, our track “Run Boy” was recently featured on The CW’s Melrose Place as well as my first solo single, “So Talented” and ME!  I was a bit of a hustler with my gun, but gotta love a strong woman! :)  Watch out!!

We’ve always been pretty lucky with landing our tracks on films and TV shows, but it’s always fun to get a call or email that a new show or network is diggin’ our tunes.  As a music fan myself, a lot of time I’ll hear a clip of a track on a TV show and will immediately want to know who it is.  For the most part they’re a band or artist I’ve never heard of, which is cool. 

A lot of people think singing for me is a side project, but it is my first true love.  If you didn’t know already, I went to a pretty artsy high school in Orange County, which helped spark my creativity and evolve my acting and singing skills.  Music is a natural outlet for me and I enjoy doing it with my bro as well as my solo stuff because they are so different and allow me to channel different musical influences.

Me and my bro are actually working on our next album.  We plan to go back to our roots a little and use a more basic approach.  You always want to grow from release to release, but I think with this new release, we will definitely be pulling a lot from our first album, Boomkatalog.One.

As for my solo stuff, I’m in the studio constantly working on new tracks, tweaking and pushing for amazing results, which I hope to be sharing with you soon.
This unfortunately will be a quick entry as I am swamped, but I just wanted to say HELLO and introduce myself and my musical endeavors.
