Hear Comes That Sound: The YHTheme Song by Monarchi

The latest BUZZ is in your ears! Young Hollywood has a new sound thanks to The Monarchi, a Jersey-based band on the fast track to stardom.

The group got together vocalist and keyboard player Bryan Scott met rapper Hakim Bell known as Prince Hakim six years ago. Music aficionados may recognize Bell as the son of Kool and the Gang great Robert Kool Bell. After years of touring with his famous father, Hakim decided on a new direction. While he describes the experience as freaking amazing, he had to do his own thing. He later joined forces with Bryan, Mark Dollar, who riffs guitar, and Patrick Angeloni on bass to form The Mondarchi.

Aside from the Gang's musical influence, Hakim says, I would like to thank Michael Jackson for inspiring me to be an artist. He's the best and he will be missed.

Prince Hakim met the King of Pop a few years ago. I met Michael once before after his show at Madison Square Garden. It was so cool to meet mike and chat with him for a few in his suite, he says.

As The Monarchi prepares to release and promote their debut record, they crafted a very special tune for YH. You'll hear the famous call for Lights, Camera, Action, at the beginning of our new videos. It will also play as the opening of our Verge to Emerge series.

Our songs talk about real issues but we just like to have fun up there and spread the peace! he adds. The Monarchi aim to unite, not fight - choosing to send a message of love.

The album includes a cover of The Police classic Message in a Bottle - and of course, Young Hollywood - all written and produced by Hakim, Mark and Bryan.

For the very best new artists, keep coming back here for more!
