The line was created back in 2005 by Michael Rosenberg. He took over outerwear maker Daron Fashion Group, the leading producer of childrens outerwear. The line was debuted in Macy's, the famous MAGIC exhibits, Bloomingdales and Marshall Fields. Hawke & Co. Outfitter is targeted to Men, boys and girls. The brand is composed of items ranging from coats to sweaters to vests. One of the most appealing parts of the men's line is that every style features pockets to accommodate cell phones and iPods. Rosenberg explains his target customers are men who are, concerned about looking good and buy clothes that are cool and express a complex personal identity. He's hip to the latest electronic trends, from iPods to BlackBerrys, he also adds.In 2007, the line expanded and presented their new pieces in New York Fashion Week. The sportswear and swimwear pieces give men the opportunity to not have to buy a new wardrobe every six months because of the timeless style. They were also created to be light weight and comfortable. The line typically retails from $150-$450 and has been shown in magazines such as Esquire, City Magazine and DNR.
