"Hannah Montana" Star Emily Osment Tackles Cyberbullying in New Movie

Emily Osment, who plays BFF to Miley Cyrus in the "Hannah Montana" TV show and movie, takes on a timely teen topic in her new ABC Family original movie Cyberbully, which debuts this Sunday, July 17.

In Cyberbully, Osment plays Taylor, a somewhat socially awkward high school student who receives a computer for her birthday from her mother (Kelly Rowan of "The O.C.") and quickly finds herself a target of online bullying on a social media website. Kay Panabaker, who starred last season on the ABC show "No Ordinary Family" and is the younger sister of actress Danielle Panabaker, plays Taylor's best friend.

Osment is a global ambassador for StompOutBullying.org and recently appeared at the Rally to Delete Digital Drama in Glendale, California, along with other ABC Family talent, including Shay Mitchell ("Pretty Little Liars"), Skyler Samuels ("The Nine Lives of Chloe King"), Daren Kagasoff ("The Secret Life of the American Teenager"), and Vanessa Marano ("Switched at Birth"), where Osment performed an original song, "Drift," that she wrote for the film. ABC Family also partnered with Seventeen magazine on a multi-page feature in the mag's August issue where readers and ABC Family stars share their own experiences with bullying.
