Gird Your Pasties: Justin Timberlake Returning to Super Bowl!

The last time Justin Timberlake graced a Super Bowl stage… well, let’s just say it didn’t end too well.

Nine years after the Wardrobe Malfunction Seen Around The World, JT is taking his musical comeback to some rather hallowed ground, but this time, he’s gonna play it a little safer.

It’s been four years since Timberlake took the stage to perform live, and he will be doing just that the day BEFORE the Super Bowl (February 2) for a Shriners Hospital For Children benefit concert at DTV SuperFan Stadium in New Orleans. He will be performing his brand new single, “Suit & Tie” (from his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience), and, presumably, some of his other classic hits. No word yet on whether or not the infamous “Rock Your Body” will be on the set list… Might wanna keep guest DJ Questlove out of arm’s reach anyway, just in case.

Perhaps in an effort to get his stage legs back, JT is keeping things sort of low-key for now, reserving his energies for an exclusive, invite-only event as opposed to the mass audience the Super Bowl draws in every year. The concert will be a part of the “DirecTV Super Saturday Night” broadcast, which, I assume, means that only people with DirecTV subscriptions will be able to tune in? Can’t find any confirmation on that just yet, so stay tuned…

Check out the lyric video for “Suit & Tie” below; The 20/20 Experience is set to drop on March 19.
