Hey, hey everybody! It's your friendly neighborhood showbiz guy, slinging out something fresh every weekday for your daily dose of entertainment goodness.

Here's a fun anecdote you might enjoy. Years ago I worked for this company called LAUNCH.com, which was actually a pretty awesome music site. It was like MTV, but on demand, and online. So I guess the only similarity is that they both played music videos. This was back in the day, before YouTube. Crap! That made me feel old and dated. Tear.

Anyways, in the land before time, LAUNCH acquired the Warped Tour. Some of the suits worried the anti-establishment punk rock audience would see this selling out and it would hurt our image - we'd didn't want to be seen a faceless corporation, but rather an edgy upstart music channel that just so happened to have corporate backing.

Suffice it to say, the Warped Tour is still around and LAUNCH is long gone. Unconcerned with its image, the Warped Tour sailed on because it continued to focus on the important stuff. The music!

They never sold anybody out, certainly not the fans. They're still doing it, still hitting the streets and bringing the show.

A Cursive Memory, who I've talked about here before, is one of a zillion bands that will join the tour for a short stint as it wraps around the country. Tomorrow I'm profiling Katy Perry, who'll be there for every stop in every city. Along with, of course, a multitude of other performers on board for the duration.

Seriously, there are so many acts I've completely lost count. Tons. Lots. Take a look for yourself.
