This one’s for the 21-and-overs!

 

For all you folks who love a little ale to go along with your weekly journeys to Westeros and Essos, it’s about to get a whole lot more hardcore up in here.

 

Ommegang brewery has released a special edition beer custom made to “directly tie into the themes and nuances of the medieval-like fantasy realm of Westeros and even the surrounding kingdoms.” Not sure how exactly that works, but if you’re a fan of the show, you might not give a flip! The blonde ale, dubbed “Iron Throne”, will be housed in a brawny 25-ounce bottle, complete with old school cork stopper. And at a retail price of $8.50 per bottle, it’s a good thing the show only comes on once a week!

 

Personally, I hope it tastes like Sean Bean. (mmm!)

 

The beer will be released nationwide in March, so get your Harrenhal Castle–shaped beer stein ready for some serious swiggin’*!
