Hear ye, hear ye! All hail our reigning purple highness, Prince! Today (June 7), he turns a very young 54. And while most of us must face the harsh reality of aging, Prince has time on his side. He is a testament to the phrase “Age ain’t nothing but a number.” After thirty-plus years in the biz, he still has the same physique, vocals, and moves, and could work a stage better than any of his 20-year-old counterparts. Prince is a master at his craft and a living legend. And, might I add, a diva in his own right! I mean, c’mon, he rocks a pair of heels better than any woman I know!

 

Although Prince emerged in the 1980s, he still rules the rock and roll landscape. King of funk, groove, pop, rock, jazz, and soul, Prince has always embraced diversity. Venturing into unchartered territory is what Prince does best! He has a knack for all things musical and sexual, with a side of raunchy. His talents are far beyond those one could comprehend. Prince’s singing, songwriting, and producing skills are flawless. His multi-instrumental abilities are unmatched. The guitar, piano, drums, and saxophone are just some of the instruments he has mastered. Also, if there is anyone that could get the crowd roaring, it’s Prince! He knows how to put on one electrifying show after another!

 

Prince brings a level of commitment, energy, focus, and passion to his work that is commendable. In my eyes, he is one of the most gifted entertainers of our time. May we be graced by his vocals and killer moves for centuries to come. Long live a musical genius, long live the Prince!
