G4 Transitioning Into Esquire Network

Say goodbye to G4, and say hello to the newest NBCUniversal channel to be known as the Esquire channel. The cable network has closed a deal with the men’s lifestyle magazine Esquire, owned by Hearst, to shift the channel to appeal to "metrosexual gentleman". The new channel will include cooking, fashion, and travel shows, and is designed to be more in touch with the modern male. The new channel will debut during the first half of 2013.

However, the fresh take on the channel will continue to include gaming shows as well. But other popular shows, including “Attack of the Show!” and “X-Play”, have been cancelled to make room for this new programming. In the meantime, NBC has also had lengthy conversations with Conde Nast about future content, although NBC and Hearst do have a long history together.

Will you be tuning in to the new Esquire channel?
