Britney Spears’s new single "Hold It Against Me" is shattering sales records and stuff, but is it her best song ever?

Most fans say it’s good but not her best, leaving a natural inquiry to follow: what are her very best -- her ultimate -- songs?

She’s come a long way from "Hit Me Baby One More Time." As she’s matured, our little Brit has teamed up with super producers and transformed from a tween princess to a full-grown dancehall diva.

Though she has many greats, here are 5 that are undeniably among her most beloved:

"Gimme More"

“It’s Britney, bitch.” Best. Opening. Line. Ever.

"Toxic"

Pure Brit! By far a fan fave. Definitely one of her defining songs lyrically, vocally, and musically.

"3"

So naughty!

"Stronger"

This song is basically “I’m so over you, you’re a speck on my rear view mirror,” and it rocks.

"Circus"

If I had to pick just one favorite, Circus sums up the Britney experience -- a fun dance track with a great hook!
