First ‘Magic Mike’ Trailer Released: A Beefcake Tale with Meatiness?

Feast your eyes, ladies (and at least 8% of you gents), because after a torturously long wait, the first trailer for Magic Mike has finally hit the web!

On paper, we already knew this was going to epic. A film loosely based on Channing Tatum’s pre-fame days as a male stripper, co-starring uber-hunks Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey as fellow dancers-for-hire. SOLD. Say no more.

Ah, but wait – it seems as if Magic Mike has a whole lot more to say! Judging by the trailer, this isn’t just two hours of gyrating pelvises and Channing reminding us that he can dance real good. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. However, there appears to be an actual STORY here, which will certainly appeal to us more cerebral females, amirite? Here we follow Channing, as the titular Magic Mike, who is loving the lifestyle that dancing affords him – dames, deniro, and a damn good time. But is there something more out there? Enter Paige (Cody Horn), a co-worker’s sister, whom Mike takes a shine to, and thus begins the struggle of maintaining a legitimate relationship whilst making a living being the object of every woman’s lust. It’s not a new concept… however, this is really the first time we’ve ever seen it from a man’s point of view. How does the perspective change when a woman tries to date a male stripper versus when a man tries to date a female stripper? Can Magic Mike truly disassociate himself enough from his work to make his relationship last?

Oh crap, who cares? SHAKE THAT MONEYMAKER, CHANNING!!!
