Who doesn't love Fall Out Boy? We here at Young Hollywood are no exception. In addition to the fact that we just love getting the scoop on front man, Pete Wentz (Ashley Simpson's main man), we love them for their fun upbeat lyrics that everyone can appreciate and of course, sing along to. Chicago's very own Fall Out Boy came together in the small town of Wilmette in 2001 and has been making hits ever since. The group consists of Patrick Stump (vocalist/guitarist), Peter Wentz (bassist, lyricist), Andrew Hurley (drummer), and Joe Trohman (guitarist). Before forming their own band the boys individually dabbled in different bands trying to find their niche. Nothing was quite perfect until they found each other and formed, you guessed it, Fall Out Boy. Fall Out Boy took a unique approach to hardcore punk music by giving the music a hint of pop, which gave the band approachability by music lovers of all genres. Their debut, Evening Out with Your Girl, not only put the band on the musical map, but also sparked a bidding war amongst several record labels. Fall Out Boy signed a deal with Fueled, a Florida label owned by drummer Vinnie Fiorello. In addition to this signing, Island Records also extended a deal to the boys that they could not refuse. Island would help finance a proper record debut as well as the recording of what eventually became the album known as Take This to Your Grave. Not too shabby! Their breakout album was soon to follow. Their new album, Under the Cork Tree, was an ambitious album that turned out to be a huge success and put the boys on the Billboard's top ten! The singles, Sugar We're Going Down and Dance, Dance, helped the album go double platinum and earned Fall Out Boy a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. They also recently won an award for Best Group at the MTV Video Music Awards. From a small town Chicago band to a worldwide phenomenon, Fall Out Boy is taking no prisoners. Watch out!
