Eminem & Adam Levine Team With 50 Cent for "My Life"

50 Cent, Eminem, and Adam Levine walk into a recording studio… Stop me if you’ve heard this one before!

Well, you haven’t, and this is definitely no joke. In an effort to match the massive success of his signature jam “In Da Club” (those SK Energy commercials don't exactly cut it, people!), Fiddy called on the talents of fellow rap superstar Em and Maroon 5 frontman and collabo go-to Levine to churn out “My Life”, the third single off his yet-to-be-released 5th studio album, Street King Immortal. The track was actually recorded back in 2010 and was written by all three fellas (with a little input from Symbolyc One and Herb Rooney), and it highlights the two rappers’ love-hate relationship with fame. As usual, both spitters get super personal, with Em openly questioning his return to the rap game following his stint and rehab, and 50 calling out former collaborators like Game for (allegedly) taking advantage of him. Levine, like Skylar Grey or Rihanna, is just there for eye candy I guess.

In the video clip for the song, filmed in Detroit, the music men find themselves being hunted and chased down by sinister forces, a rather obvious metaphor for the lyrical content. We never actually get to see all three fellas occupy the same space at any point, which is a shame, but one can hope we’ll be seeing them perform this tune on an awards show or two in the near future.

Check out the video for “My Life” below (WARNING: NSFW language… obviously) and let us know if you think it’ll be as big as or bigger than “In da Club”!
