Spider got his first set of turntables in 1996, and began practicing religiously everyday, eventually starting his online radio station, The Bassment, a show committed to bringing quality hip hop music to the masses.Spider has licensed songs and compositions to network TV shows and major movies such as the award winning and Oscar winning CRASH (Lions Gate Films) and Joan of Arcadia (CBS), as well as Bones (FOX), The Real World (MTV), Thru the Lens (A&E), FuseTV, a commercial for Microsoft, and some independent films like SHARDS.He has opened for acts as diverse as Pete Rock, KRS-One, Black Sheep, Murs, Lyrics Born, Medusa, Filthee Imagrants, Blackalicious, Mike Relm, Saul Williams, and many more.His passion for quality music, dope scratching, artwork, and rocking parties can clearly be heard through his mixes, and in his free time, Spider makes the rounds as guest in the trendier hot spots around LA, San Francisco, San Diego Colorado and Atlanta.He created the #1 24/7 hip hop station on Live365.com and recently won the 2005 award for best hip hop station on Live365.com, during which time he produced 2 weekly subscription podcasts for iRiver and AudioFeast. He also does live mix shows Tuesday nights on his long running radio site TheBassment.com. He has produced and scratched on 2 long running intros to radio shows for POWER 106, including the long running Old Skool Show.Spider is always eager to meet fans that dig his music.
