Daytime Parties Before MTV Movie Awards

While I heard that Kim Kardashian, Kellan Lutz, Laurence Fishburne, Denzel Washington, and Jordin Sparks have already made "the pledge," their alarm clocks must have not gone off. None made it to the 11am mimosa-hour start of the launch party.

Kim's been tweeting about it to her multi-million Twitter following though, and since she normally only tweets for pay, this is an encouraging sign.

As a consolation, we did get Sparks's fellow American Idol alum Blake "the beatboxer" Lewis, who performed.

E!'s Catt Sadler, MTV pals Jareb Dauplaise and Jayson Blair ("Hard Times of RJ Berger"), and underrated host Teck Holmes (of Cartoon Network's live action show "Hole in the Wall") all made appearances at the Give Back Hollywood Foundation's event.

Even if it's for do-gooding, it's not an event unless there's two open bars -- a beauty bar and in this case, a VnC cocktail bar. Both were great ways to prep for Saturday night's Spike Guy's Choice Awards show and Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Rumer Willis, Demi Lovato, and more went right for the goodies, hitting CoverGirl's Beauty Bar that took over the Nine Zero One salon. "Break a leg" was good luck for Kelly Osbourne's manager, who got sent to the beauty retreat as surrogate when the E! "Fashion Police" panelist's broken foot kept her away.
