The very first solo male cover of Elle UK has hit the shelves, and it has got women drooling around the world! Gracing the cover of the high-end magazine is none other than the very handsome and oh-so talented  sportsman, Mr. David Beckham.

 

Created in anticipation for the 2012 Olympics, we all agree with Elle UK that Beckham was, without a doubt, the perfect fit for the job of being half-naked on the cover of a glossy mag! But all those comments aside, Beckham was the man who brought the torch to the U.K. to start the Olympic Relay, so it is quite fitting that such a fashionable, iconic athlete graced the cover... oh, and did I mention handsome?!

 

There are actually two different covers for the magazine’s July issue, one being the subscribers issue, which, lucky for you, features the rather fit soccer player, half-naked, dripping wet out of a pool... dreamy, right, ladies? And then there is a less provocative cover for the newsstands, which features a more casual David, in a close headshot, with his dreamy eyes -- rather than abs -- being the center of attention!

 

 

Not forgetting that inside the magazine there is actually a great intellectual interview for all of Beckham's fans to read! David's wife Victoria covered the magazine back in 2005, so, hopefully, next we will see a steamy joint cover, maybe inspired by the previous Armani underwear shoot they did together?
