At last! As I told you earlier in the week, director Steven Spielberg and actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be debuting the first official full trailer for the upcoming soon-to-be-Oscar-winning historical biopic, Lincoln, during a Google+ Hangout. Well, Hangout accomplished, and trailer released! As promised, check it out below!
And, no, you won't be the only person a bit befuddled by star Daniel Day-Lewis's Abe-voice. While we have all, for some reason, just assumed that Lincoln was bestowed with a low, booming voice -- a myth perpetuated and implanted into our brains by Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure -- it's actually historical fact that Lincoln was a rather soft-spoken fella. In fact, following Abe's inaugural speech in 1861, an Ohio newspaper even commented on how the revelation of his "high-pitched voice" was kind of a bummer to listeners but that "it carried far". So, what he might have lacked in a manly set of vocal chords he made up for in smarts and sheer lung power. We can only hope that DDL will have the same effect on movie audiences!
Check out the official trailer for Lincoln, followed by the Google+ Hangout in its entirety! Enjoy!
