Country Queen Carrie Underwood Hitting The Road This Summer!

Ever wonder how powerhouse singers prepare for big events such as the Grammys, AMAs, or perhaps the big honkin’ Super Bowl? Well, YH answered that question with our all access pass to spend a day with country crooner and “American Idol” winner, Carrie Underwood, which you can check out here. Doesn’t she make the whole process sound so effortless? Sure, I’ll sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl! No biggie, right? All I have to do is:

1.  Eat well (check)
2.  Exercise (check)
3.  Drink lots of Vitamin Water (check)
4.  Carry around a rat terrier named Ace (check)

Wait, I still can’t carry a tune to save my life, let alone produce vocals similar to those of the incomparable Carrie Underwood! Oh well, it was worth a try!

Small town girl from Checotah, Oklahoma, Carrie made her grand entrance into the music scene with her stunning rendition of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” at the “American Idol” auditions in 2005. America fell in love at first sight (and sound). Carrie gained quite a following on the show with her undeniable talent and charming personality. Her career soared the day she was crowned “American Idol” and she has since become one of the most successful "Idol" alums.

Carrie has achieved countless accolades within her short seven years in the business. She’s the youngest member to be invited into the Grand Ole Opry. Also, earlier this year, Billboard named her “Country Music’s Reigning Queen”. Quite a feat for this best-selling, Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum superstar. It’s fair to say that Carrie has dominated the country/country pop music landscape!

Before "Idol", Carrie had never been on a plane. Now, she probably lives on one! Especially with the release of fourth studio album, Blown Away, and her tour right around the corner, Carrie will be on the road just about everyday! And guess what, Care Bears? We can join her! Her Blown Away Tour kicks off this Saturday (May 26) in Baton Rouge, and tickets for her October 26 show at the Staples Center in L.A. go on sale Thursday, May 24. See here for ticket information. Let’s wish America’s Sweetheart much success on her upcoming tour! Now, it’s time for some songs!
