I have long joked that some of my closest friends, men in their 20s and 30s, have the same taste as 13 year old girls. We're like, so mature. We dish about American Idol, catch up on the latest gossip and now I think I've found our newest iPod import. With the imminent release of their major label debut, The Clique Girlz might just be taking over your radio, too. The Clique Girlz are 12-year-old Paris, her 13-year-old sister Destinee and their best friend, Ariel, also 13. They met in school and formed a band, believe it or not the Girlzù have been working on their act for four years! We have strong families and great parents,ù says Paris. We do our own laundry and fold our own clothes. We're still normal kids. But this is something we've always wanted to do. And we weren't going to stop until we succeeded.ùWe want kids our age to know that you're never too young to dream,ù adds Ariel. It is both inspiring and humbling to see such drive in these kids today. It also makes me feel rather ancient. Meanwhile, what have I been doing with my life? After opening for groups as Backstreet Boys and the Jonas Brothers, the trio has an upcoming tour with Raven Symone, plus their CD goes on sale in June. They're poised to be the next big thing, and that's What's Hot!ùKeep dreaming --Wes p.s. Young Hollywood got a chance to meet up with the Clique Girlz, so make sure you check out our video interview!
