Class Act: Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson is amazing. A diamond in the rough on American Idol, she transformed into an even bigger star than that year's winner. Despite being axed well before the final three, she made an impression that lasted long enough for fans to carry over to champion her award-winning performance in Dreamgirls.

While most would have counted her out of the race, Jennifer dug in and pulled out a triumphant second act. After an amazing victory and comeback to the spotlight, many discounted her yet again as a one trick pony.

You can never please some critics. What a difference a year makes.

She followed up her success with a confidant turn in a little movie called Sex and the City. It wasn't up for any awards but perhaps you heard of it.

With music featured in the film, she went on to record and release her highly anticipated debut album. Just as she was hitting the charts, tragedy struck when her mother, sister and nephew were killed.

A true class act, she didn't run to the tabs or go in-depth with Oprah - choosing instead to handle it privately. This is how it's done.

Like a true pro, she went on to belt out one of the most memorable performances at the Grammys, where she picked up yet another award - this one for best R&B album.

After her Hollywood triumphs and personal tribulations, Jennifer proves that if you've got the talent, the heart and the drive; even the biggest dreams are within reach.

When I say Jennifer Hudson is amazing, it's a fact.
