He sings, dances, and acts; Chris Brown is a triple threat R&B phenomenon and he's only 18! Chris Maurice Brown was born May 5, 1989. He was raised in a very small town called Tappahannock in Virginia. Even though the Brown's lived nowhere near the glitz and glam, Chris' parents knew since the day he was born, that Chris was destined for Hollywood. Chris began dancing at the tender age of 2 but wasn't aware that he was a singing sensation until the age of 11.

Chris entertained the thought of pursuing a rap career. However, one day that thought became a reality when a local production team discovered him." Chris was whisked to New York where he immediately started recording his first album. Like most child stars, Chris was forced to leave school to begin working on his self-titled album, Chris Brown. The album was released on November 29, 2005, and needless to say, was a huge success. His first single released, Run it, Run it put Chris on the map of the stars and in the hearts of adoring teenage girls; the single was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks and set the tone for his future singles to follow. And what says success more than a sold out tour? August 17, 2006 was the beginning of Chris' very first, and very exclusive Up Close and Personal Tour. His good friend and also newcomer to the scene, Neyo, helped headline the tour with Brown. And just like everything Chris engages in, the tour was a stellar success. Chris is currently working on releasing his second album, entitled Exclusive which is set to release November 6, 2007 and he is up for Best Choreography for his video Wall to Wall, we at Young Hollywood think that given his track record, his chances are certainly golden.
