Celebrity Clothing Lines Worth Checking Out

These days, your favorite artists do much more than just sing, dance, and/or act. They produce reality shows, write books, sell perfume, and, oftentimes, enter into the realm of fashion by lending their names to their own clothing lines. The market is flooded with celebrities touting their own styles and brands, so it's hard to distinguish between the quality stuff and who's just looking to make an extra buck. Some celeb designers are definitely worth a second look, though; here are a few celebrities that have a natural flair for fashion:

L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani: Gwen has a very unique, funky, colorful, edgy, and playful style. Whatever Gwen wears is always fashion-forward. Her clothing line reflects her image of eccentricity and vibrancy. The pieces can be found across the country, in boutiques and department stores like Nordstrom. That means this bold style has to fit you. And not everything that Gwen can pull off can the average person can pull off too; she is a rock star, after all. What is great about this collection is, it has a clearly defined focus. But have no fear, she has some colorful spring pieces that are pretty simple and chic. If Gwen’s style is your style, it's match made in heaven. It’s relatively higher priced, though, with pieces ranging from $50 to over $1,000.

One word to sum it up: Rocker.

House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie: There was a time when Nicole was known mainly for being Paris Hilton’s BFF on their reality TV show, "The Simple Life”. These days, Nicole is focused on being a mom and a designer. Her line, named after her daughter Harlow, started off as just jewelry, but now it includes shoes and other accessories. Her pieces also reflect her style: bohemian, chic, simple, expressive, and relaxed with soft colors. If you like to wear moleskin-style shoes, long dresses, a feather in one ear, and a cotton headband, this is your collection. The pieces are usually priced between $50 and $200 dollars. The shoes are between $100 and $300 and can be found at boutique stores and Nordstrom.

One word to sum it up: Bohemian.

Jessica Simpson: Her line sells it all, from shoes to handbags, to clothes at reasonable prices -- you can find Jessica Simpson pieces at JCPenney. Her style is much broader, with color but simple, trendy clothes that fit with each season. You can buy some great shoes for 50 bucks and up. There are some simple spring dresses with flora prints, and more formal dresses. It’s for the girls who still revel in “Sex and the City” but are not yet at that point to spend a cool grand for one shoe. Most products can be ordered directly from her Website. Her own personal style is not incredibly represented, but maybe that’s why her line works so well -- because it can reach more people. It doesn’t have a high-fashion feel but rather an everyday or just a night-out-with-the-girls vibe.

One word to sum it up: Girly.

William Rast by Justin Timberlake and company: JT can do it all! William Rast is the partnership between Justin and his friend Trace Ayala and features T-shirts, denim, and leather jackets.
