Written by Rita Korkounian. Published: October 05 2022

Who is ready for colorful Fall leaves, chunky knit sweaters, crackling fires, cozy socks, pumpkin pie, crisp apples, s’mores, hot chocolate, and lots of snuggling? Me!!! Pick me!!!!

Aren’t you glad that we live in a world where there are Octobers? That our faithful friend Autumn returns loyally each and every single year and graces us with the year’s last loveliest smile?

I love Fall, and although I don’t get to experience it in all of its glory here in Los Angeles, I have the next best thing: Pinterest. All I have to do is type "autumn" or "fall foliage" into the search engine, and in less than 5 seconds, I’m flooded with beautiful, breathtaking images. I must say, fall makes my heart skip a beat. Aside from all of its natural beauty, there is no better time than Fall to... eat. That’s right, ladies and gents, eat. Eat. Eat. Eat. 'Tis the season for eating. Happy happy, joy joy!

Now that I’ve got you in the spirit of Fall & eating, might I offer you an apple? How do you like themapples? Raw or cooked? With caramel, peanut butter, or honey? In a pie, tart, or streusel cake? The options are endless. How about we do a roundup of apple recipes in honor of National Apple Month, which just so happens to be the lucky month of October?!

Honeyed Apple Peanut Butter Tart - Calling all apple and peanut butter lovers! This simple, 5-ingredient recipe will astound you! Who knew that apples, honey, and peanut butter layered over a puff pastry would taste so bloody (in English accent) good?!

Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls - Blogger Ali says, “I’ve been waiting months to make these. Months and months and months. Thank goodness fall and caramel apple season have officially arrived!! One bite will send you right into Uncle Jesse ‘have mercy’ heaven.”

Pumpkin Apple Cider Doughnuts - A new dynamic trio is in town, and they mean business. Folks, say hello to Pumpkin, Apple, and Doughnut, Charlie’s New Angels. Who run the world? Girls. Oh, and, these pumpkin apple cider doughnuts. Thank you very much.

Cider Bourbon Apple Pie - This pie is dangerous. Eat at your own discretion. Evil pie spirits may possess you. “And you might have to sell your soul to the pie devil.” Okay, we all know that’ll never happen (I hope not). But it’s Halloween. And I love to scare you. P.S. If a fancy bourbon apple pie with an oatmeal crumble is not your thing, I suggest you try this recipe.

Whole Wheat Autumn Apple Pizza - Blogger Jessica says, “This is one pizza I will not forget. It’s light and thin-crusted, with not one, but two layers of slenderly sliced apples, caramelized onions, piles of gouda cheese, and crispy, crunchy bacon squares. Total flavor explosion. Total pizza demolition.”

Apple Bacon Stuffed Sweet Potatoes - In our house, we have our sweet potatoes with cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter. And it’s usually on Thanksgiving. Never, not even in my wildest dreams, did I imagine sweet potatoes with apples, goat cheese, and bacon. Two much sweet/salty deliciousness in one loaded sweet potato.

Apple Cider Sangria - Let me tell you, most alcohol tastes like gasoline to me and triggers a gag reflex. But I have found a friend in this Sangria. I will very gladly babysit a glass or three... you know... every once in a while. A taste of Autumn in a wine glass. 21+ only please!

Apple Maple French Toast - I will most definitely make these rich and fluffy apple maple french toasts for my imaginary children... and me, of course! Oh, I love breakfast. Nothing makes me happier. P.S. You know I will be eating these with a side of bacon, right?

Caramel Apple Cider Snickerdoodles - I just said nothing makes me happier than breakfast... I take that back. Oozing caramel from the center of a freshly baked apple cider snickerdoodle cookie makes me beam with happiness. Hey, happiness is in the eye of the beholder, right?

Maple Crunch Apple Puff Pancake - “Whether you refer to these as oven-baked pancakes, Dutch babies, pfannkuchen, or simply puff pancakes, the combination of maple sweetness and tart autumn apples will make it hard to say no to.” Note: I’m all about the crunch factor!

Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake - Grab your pumpkin spice latte and have a slice of apple cinnamon coffee cake for breakfast. Savor life with these little moments! P.S. I could add cinnamon to just about everything!

Bake your favorite apple dish, grab a blanket, cozy up next to the fireplace, put on Hocus Pocus, and enjoy the beauty of the Fall season!
