Celeb Squeeze: Shape Up with Tracy Effinger

With hot-bodied clients like Eve, celebrity trainer Tracy Effinger is giving up some Hollywood fitness tips for the gym phobic!

You don't have to be a gym rat to stay in shape. Find a super-fun class to take, Tracy suggests. Dance class, a hiking group, a class outside at the park. To help you stay motivated and get where you're supposed to be, Get a buddy who is the same position and do it together.

Many people avoid the gym because they simply do not know how to work the weights. Beginners should try a body sculpting class or take the time to do a few sessions with a professional trainer, Tracy says. Once you learn how to do the machines and weights properly, you can experience the gym without being afraid of looking silly or feeling lost. The money is worth it to learn. Think of it as learning a new trade or skill. Why should people who never have been in a gym walk in and know how to use it?

Overall, remember that being healthy isn't something you do an hour a day. It IS your day. There is always room to make fitness a fun part of your life; running with a friend, walking with a group, hiking with a family member, going to a dance class with your partner, Tracy adds.

Whether 15 or 50 minutes, once you are done, you can 'put it in your pocket' and know that you did something for you that day. It is the best way to love you and build confidence. When you move physically, you know what you do is yours, no one can take it from you because you, yourself did it!

Tracy hosts her own innovative DVD series called Squeeze, which works to strengthen, shape and tone. I've tried them and let me tell you, this at-home workout will have you sweating up a storm! My favorite is the Lower Body Challenge, which you can order at: www.SqueezeByTracy.com
