Celeb Fashion: Emma Watson Debuts "Fair Trade" Clothing for People Tree

Emma Watson

Sure, you're thinking, another celebrity designer?

Okay, maybe that's not what you were thinking. I'm not a mind reader over here! But I do know a few things.

For one, Emma Watson doesn't just play a smartie-pants on the big screen. We love her know-it-all Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, but IRL she's heading off to Brown University to get her book on. She's also the mind behind a new line of eco-friendly clothing.

The tawny-haired teen teamed up with the London-based People Tree clothing line after she made goo-goo eyes at their tees. She was later introduced to founder Safia Minney. The two hit it off and collaborated on Emma's first fashion line last year. At the time, she wanted to get involved with the organic clothing label because she was said to be frustrated by the lack of options in clothing aimed at people in her age bracket.

I presume this means clothes that are not slut-wear, because THOSE options seem extremely prevalent.

The goodie-two-shoes will unveil her new collection of ecologically sound fashion at Prince Charles's Garden Party To Make A Difference.

"This festival aims to give people of all ages a fun day out," says The Prince of Wales.

The twelve-day festival will also feature performances from comedians and musicians.

"I'm so thrilled that People Tree will be showing the spring/summer collection at A Garden Party To Make A Difference," Emma says. "I think The Prince of Wales' initiative is such a brilliant idea and I'm thrilled."

The party and unveiling will be held Sunday, September 12 in the historic Friary Court of St James's Palace. No runway needed!
