Want hard-bodied abdominals like Fergie? Here’s how to get them, with tips from four top celebrity trainers:

Cindy Whitmarsh, ExerciseTV Trainer, knows how to kill that muffin top!

“Six-Pack abs are made in the kitchen not the gym,” Cindy says.  “Change your diet first if you really want to see a difference in your 6-pack.”

One way to make an instant change: “Cut sodas out of your diet. Water is king.  I recommend 90 to 128 ounces of water a day. Drink up!”

CINDY’S AB-BUSTER:  “I love the reverse crunch exercises or all different kinds of plank exercises to focus on the lower part of my abs.”

Meanwhile, fitness guru Rachel Cosgrove busts the diet myth! “The number one myth with diet is that you have to eat less to lose fat,” she says. “With the right foods fueling your body you will burn calories. If you are doing the right type of exercise you will burn more and more calories.”

She encourages her clients to eat whole, not marketed diet-foods. “Many diet foods use high fructose corn syrup and/or hydrogenated fats among other processed artificial products,” she says. “If you look at the label of Fat Free Peanut Butter, it's full of High Fructose Corn Syrup, sugar and other processed, really bad for you stuff. You are much better off eating natural peanut butter, with the fat and all, where the ingredients are just peanuts and salt.”

Gregory Joujon-Roche, who trained Demi Moore, suggests his clients work their abs separately like any other major body part. "You need to load them, exhaust them and restore them via resistance, supersets and adequate recovery time,” he says. “In the end, ripped abs are all about controlled intensity and awareness."

Finally, my pal Tracy Effinger (who hosts her own innovative DVD series called Squeeze) is all about keeping the attitude in check. Be positive and do something, anything! "Whether 15 or 50 minutes, once you are done, you can 'put it in your pocket' and know that you did something for you that day. It is the best way to love you and build confidence. When you move physically, you know what you do is yours, no one can take it from you because you, yourself did it!"
