Carpe Diem! 8 Live-Life-To-The-Fullest Songs!

One of the best things about music is that, no matter what is going on in your life, it can be very relatable. No matter where you’re from, what you’re doing, or who you are, music has the power to become a universal thing, and as silly as it sounds, one of the most common themes of music is – and always will be – living in the moment, making the most of the time we have, and having fun.

And what better way to get your “carpe diem” on than by listening to this playlist of hits, all about living life to the fullest!

"Live While We’re Young" – One Direction
If it isn’t apparent in the actual track name, 1D’s newest and biggest hit off their upcoming November release, Take Me Home, "LWWY" is all about young love and not caring only about having extreme amounts of fun (like they did in the music video). With lyrics like “Tonight let’s get some / and live while we’re young”, and “Let’s go crazy, crazy, crazy ‘til we see the Sun”, it’s no wonder why this track is already a #1 hit.

"Die Young" – Ke$ha
We wish this pop diva nothing but a good, long life, but this song, with lines like “Let’s make the most of tonight / Like we’re gonna die young” it's the PERFECT track to dance around and paryt all night to like there is absolutely no care in the world. We can’t wait until the official music video for this song is released soon!

"I’m Yours" – Jason Mraz
According to one of our absolute fave singer-songwriters, “There’s no need to complicate / Our time is short, this is our fate.” And, quite frankly, we agree. Why waste time worrying about the small things in life when we have Jason Mraz’s music to listen to?! In his own words, “I won’t hesitate no more.”

"Cheers (Drink to That)" – Rihanna
This song, all about partying, looking good, and feeling “hella cool tonight”, is the best way to ring in the weekend after a long week’s work and throw all your cares to the wayside. Cheers to the freakin' weekend, indeed!

"Unwritten" – Natasha Bedingfield
This is the feel-good song of all feel-good songs. With its sunny and joyous vibe, paired with a video where Natasha looks uber-stunning and happy herself, we can’t help but jam to this 2005 hit that begs us to “Open up the dirty window / Let the sun illuminate.”

"Live Like You Were Dying" – Tim McGraw
Although not at all a pop song by any means, we can’t help but be endeared to the message of this song by the country crooner McGraw. Does anyone else want to go skydiving after listening to this song?

"Bounce" – Calvin Harris ft. Kelis
“Hands to the sky and throw your hair back,” Kelis beckons listeners of the Calvin Harris track that does a good job of making us want to “Bounce” and not care what anyone else thinks.

"The Motto" – Drake ft. Lil Wayne
Last, but certainly not at all the least, is Toronto’s own Aubrey “Drake” Graham, who coined the famously carefree term “YOLO” (short for "You Only Live Once"), giving music fans everywhere an excuse to go party and, what else, LIVE. After all, it’s The Motto, right?
