Beggin' for More Madcon

We're mad for the men of Madcon! Both skilled singers and rappers, these guys are making a name for themselves with their mega-smash Beggin' - which has earned them a multitude of number ones across global charts.

Naturally, nobody just happens overnight. As I recently corrected a checkout girl who quipped that Lady Gaga came out of nowhere

The group was founded by Tshawe Baqwa and Yosef Wolde-Mariam in 1992, and the boys have been working it ever since. Now they've come stateside.

"I'm loving it," Tshawe says of his first trip to the US, where he talked with our Michelle Marie at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The site is "good inspiration" he says, hoping to make their own mark one day.

How did their mega-hit song Beggin' come about? "I broke up with my girlfriend and I was feeling vulnerable," Tshawe tells YH. "So I went to this concert, and they played this song by Frankie Valli, the original, and everything he was singing was like 'oh my goodness, that's me!'" I called Yosef up on the phone and I was like, let's do this song!"

From African to latin-inspired tracks, the album is for anybody who loves to dance, they say.
