Known simply in her native U.K. as Tulisa, this fiery songstress, who just so happens to be an interesting combination of both pop and R&B musical stylings with a fashion sense and swagger all her own, is surely one to look out for the in the future of music.
The ferocious 24-year-old from the Camden neighborhood of London got her start in the industry in 2000 when she (joined by her cousin and a friend) formed the R&B/hip-hop group N-Dubz, which was very succesful in their own right, having released three fairly well-received studio albums before an inevitable hiatus in 2011.
Fast forward to today, and now Tulisa is a widely popular solo artist across the Pond. With her debut album The Female Boss just recently released, it’s no surprise as to why she is so current. Her music is AH-MAZING! Some of her best solo singles include the club-anthem “Young”, the Tyga collab “Live It Up”, as well as the slower-paced yet still equally as catchy and vivacious “Sight of You”.
Tulisa is currently a judge on the U.K. version of “The X Factor”, having been the winning mentor for last year’s champs, U.K. girl group Little Mix. Perhaps a stateside debut for Tulisa will soon be in the cards, because there will surely be an audience of adoring fans for her here!
