In the same vein as other popular British acts and fellow contemporaries like Cheryl Cole, Olly Murs, and Tulisa, Take That frontman Gary Barlow is one of the hugely successful U.K.-bred solo artists who, although not very well known in America, has all the potential in the world to become a global superstar.
Already having been in the music industry for years, starting in 1990 when boy band Take That was formed, Barlow has had a multitude of hits under his belt, both with his group (which included members Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams) and as a solo artist.
Often regarded as the face of Take That, some of Barlow’s hits with the group included “The Flood”, “Pray”, and “Never Forget”.
Some of Barlow’s solo hits include “Forever Love”, “Open Road”, and “Love Won’t Wait”, off of his albums Open Road and Twelve Months, Eleven Days.
Now, with his recent success as a judge on the British version of the hit singing competition "The X Factor", Barlow has just recently finished up an amazing sold-out tour around the Ireland and the U.K.
The world is at Barlow’s fingertips, and with what is sure to be more solo work looming on the horizon, who knows -- we might even get to have another star added to this decade’s British musical invasion.
