“Raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are the main reason I have trust issues.” Yes, I’ve been cheated on quite a few times. Let me explain:

 

(A) My chocolate chip bagel encounter -- It looked like a chocolate chip bagel and it even smelled like one. However, come to find out it was a cinnamon raisin bagel (pee-yew).

 

(B) My chocolate chip muffin encounter -- They were sitting on the counter with a sign “eat me”. So I did, and to my dismay they were cardboard raisin bran muffins (blah).

 

(C) My chocolate chip cookie encounter -- Fresh out of the oven, warm, chewy, gooey, just the way I like it! I was deceived by those oatmeal raisin cookies (those little scoundrels)!

 

I’m not going to let a few instances of infidelity taint my love for the chocolate chip! I dream in chocolate chip. They are my vitamin replacements. I’ll practically throw them in anything that’s edible. And if you share the same passion for chocolate chips as I do, then you must know that today, May 15, is National Chocolate Chip Day! Time to celebrate with a few recipes! Enjoy!
