Alicia Keys to Headline NBA All-Star Weekend!

This girl IS on fire!

Many of basketball’s finest will be taking the court at the Toyota Center in Houston next weekend for the NBA All-Star Weekend, but plenty of musical all-stars will be in the house as well!

NBA’s All-Star Weekend is an annual 3-day extravaganza celebrating the best of the best in the game of basketball. Among the activities include an All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, the Skills Challenge on Saturday, and the All-Star Game itself on Sunday. Sprinkled throughout these events are performances by some of the hottest artists on the music scene, and the League has just announced who will be serenading the likes of Blake Griffin, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant!

All-Star Saturday Night will see the reunion of Fall Out Boy and a performance of their new single “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)”, as well as appearances from techno-princess Ellie Goulding and “American Idol” champ Phillip Phillips. Nick Cannon will host this event.

For the game itself, the big guns will be brought out – Alicia Keys, who just came off a stirring rendition of tbe National Anthem for the Super Bowl, will be jumping ship from football to basketball by headlining the All-Star Game, performing solo for the halftime show, while Ne-Yo will kick off proceedings with a pre-game stint. John Legend has been tapped to perform the National Anthem, and Lincoln actress Gloria Reuben will pay tribute to our neighbors (or should I say, neighbours) to the North by singing the Canadian National Anthem.

To say the least, this will be one rockin’ weekend! Be sure to catch the All-Star Game live on Sunday, February 17, at 5pm PT/8pm ET on TNT and ESPN Radio!
