She asks. The crowd erupts, WHOOOOOOOOO!!!Good, she says with a demure smile, me too. As a teen, Alison taught herself to play piano. Eventually she began to writing songs, some of them featured on her debut album, One Cell in the Sea,' including what she tells the crowd was her first, penned at age 19 -- the haunting Almost Lover.' To get a sense of her sound and influences, simply reflect on her encore songs. Both covers, she chooses Death Cab for Cutie I Will Follow You Into the Dark' and the Beatles Across the Universe.'
